Abstract
Climate change-related spending at the subnational level of government is the focus of this chapter. After some general introductory remarks, the spending in this field of the Länder Tyrol and Vorarlberg in Austria, and of the Autonomous Provinces of Bolzano/Bozen and Trento in Italy – the latter two also known, respectively, as South Tyrol and Trentino – is addressed combining an analysis of spending budgets with empirical examples (sections 2 and 3).
