Abstract
Which is the role of the EURAC Library? By using a few snapshots from the history of the library and outlooks on its present and future challenges, this contribution delineates the essence and significance of the library for research. In a way, the library is a mirror of its institution. The collection on the shelves reflects the thematic diversity and dynamic development of EURAC with its currently eleven institutes and various centers and now 550 staff members.
