Abstract
The aim of this paper is to delineate agritourism in South Tyrol by defining its limits from a legal perspective. This is necessary due to the debate in political fora and both academic (Streifeneder, 2016) and non-academic circles about whether agritourism can be compared to other tourism activities, and in particular to small landlords. I will argue that such a comparison does not make sense, as agritourism cannot be considered without considering the role of agriculture and the different tasks linked to it.
