Abstract
The study proposes an ongoing pedagogical research to enable primary school children to foster better relationships with themselves, others and the world in general. The study applies the epistemological framework of naturalistic inquiry and utilises the research with children methodology. It is an exploratory single-case study based on an action-research approach and involves a first-grade primary school class in an educational programme combining experience, emotions, music, colours, and thought. The research includes an investigation into music-to-colour cross-modal associations, which are assumed to be mediated by emotions. This paper investigates and discusses the nature of such associations in primary school children.
