Abstract
By proposing a practical approach for mapping Green Infrastructure networks in
the Alpine Space region, in this chapter we highlight how Green Infrastructure can
enable practitioners and researchers to foster multifunctionality and guide ecosystem restoration. To this end, we spatially explicitly map several ecosystem services at high-resolution, assess ecosystem multifunctionality, and combine these findings with an ecological connectivity analysis to identify potential Green Infrastructure networks.
