Abstract
Environmental issues, which encompass combatting climate change and global warming, are increasingly positioned at the top of board agendas. consequently, board policies are increasingly used as the means to reduce environmental footprint of a firm. The central aim of this book is to uncover theoretical foundations and provide solid empirical evidence of the important and so far, overlooked effects of board policies on different environmental practices and symbolic greenwashing around the world. It is primarily intended for advanced undergraduate and / or graduate students. Moreover, it is highly relevant for business owners, investors, consultants, and policymakers, as it addresses the core aspects of contemporary corporate strategies, actions, and practices.
