The aim of this publication is to provide Alpine regions with roadmaps and guidelines for the development of spatial planning and regional development strategies in response to demographic change. It provides for a strategic approach towards long-term planning, including the necessary tools and measures for identifying and analysing demographic changes and its effects on the Alpine space.
