Abstract
Heinrich Neisser, who died on 22 August 2025 at the age of 89, was not only a prominent Austrian politician and professor but also a big supporter of the country’s minority communities. His engagement combined political experience, scholarly insight, and a deep commitment to dialogue and legal protection for Austria’s minorities and European minority issues more broadly. These are some reflections on his work.
