Abstract
Brazilian history is also the history of the annihilation of the populations that originally inhabited today's Brazil. The social and political emancipation of Brazilian Indigenous groups is still ongoing, and the Bolsonaro administration has been seen as radically inimical to Brazil' first peoples. The article elaborates a brief assessment of the most recent Indigenous struggles in Brazil, and the Indigenist political organized resistance in the context of 2022 Brazil general elections, and the bicentenary of Brazilian indipendence.
