Abstract
The study explores the interplay of digital transformation and sustainability in destination management, focusing on the Trentino–South Tyrol–Tyrol Euregio Region. Emerging issues, like climate change and overtourism, necessitate new strategies, including enhanced collaboration facilitated by digitalization. A qualitative multi-level analysis examines collaboration among stakeholders, from policymakers to enterprise owners, with data collected via interviews. Preliminary findings from a higher level of analysis reveal a growing emphasis on sustainability, supported by digital tools for data management and tourism flow optimization. While internal collaboration is improving, cross-border coopetition remains limited, presenting an untapped opportunity to leverage digitalization for sustainable tourism development.
