Abstract
We examine the influence of personality traits on students’ Career Decisiveness in China, Germany, and the U.S.A. Itis examined if personality traits provide information on which type of industry the students are interested in working atand which type of occupation they are aiming at. Our results show that personality traits have direct and moderatingeffects on Career Decisiveness. In addition, personality has an influence on students’ preferences on the preferredbusiness sectors and occupational choice. The influence of personality on career planning differs in the three countriesexamined. The findings, implications, and future research directions are discussed
