Abstract
Abstract - In the growing field of bio(opto)electronics, organic semiconductive materials are attracting particular interest due to the improvement in fabrication technology and their chemical and electrical stability. In this work, the spin and spray coating deposition methods of poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT), a conjugated organic polymer with optoelectronic properties, are compared. The spray-coated film, compared to the spin-coated one, manifests a higher response to the light stimulation in terms of current and voltage production. This gives rise to an increase in the studies evaluating the possible use of this film as a bio-hybrid interface for optoelectrical stimulation of cellular models.
