Abstract

Family business Intention Succession
Intention for intra-family leadership succession (IFS) is an important determinant of family firm behavior. Based on the theory of planned behavior (TPB) we investigate antecedents of the incumbent leader's attitude toward IFS. Using a sample of 271 family firms in Italy, we identify different family-, firm-, and incumbent-related influencing factors.
